Acoustic Guitar Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat All Mahogany
The Fender Hellcat is a signature electro acoustic guitar for Tim Armstrong of Rancid, with a classic sound and irreverent spirit. concert format.
Tim Armstrong is a founding member of the famous punk band Rancid, and is also a producer and owner of an independent record label. It might seem strange for a punk to have an acoustic guitar named after him, but Armstrong always enjoyed writing on his Fender concert model.
The Fender Hellcat is inspired by Armstrong's old guitar, but made with modern techniques and state-of-the-art materials. Perfect for playing pop, rock, folk and many other styles, it is a semi-acoustic guitar with a well defined and present sound.
The top is solid mahogany, which gives it a consistent, natural tone and a truer voice. Reinforcement of the top in X causes the mass of the top to be reduced, allowing it to vibrate more freely, offering a sound with more nuances and greater projection.
The back and sides are also in mahogany and the neck is in maple, with a 20-fret walnut fretboard. The bridge is in walnut with saddle in Graph Tech® Nubone™, a synthetic material very similar to bone that transmits the vibrations of the strings with great fidelity.
The decoration of the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat is very simple, with a tortoiseshell nail guard and two "Hellcat" and "Double skull" inlays on the fretboard.
The Concerto format is slightly larger than the Parlor format, which gives it greater resonance but with the clarity and superior midrange definition, but without the bass depth of a Dreadnought. It is excellent to play solo, to accompany the voice, and even to include in a band context, not overlapping in the lowest frequencies and with an excellent presence in the final mix.
To take full advantage of these features, the Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat is equipped with a Fishman® CD pickup system with active preamp, with controls for volume, sound, and built-in tuner.
Fender is one of the most mythical and recognizable brands in music history, chosen by some of the greatest musicians of all time to create their sound. Few brands have left such an important impression and legacy in any industry, remaining at the forefront for so long, breaking new ground and defining the future, responding to musicians' needs and exceeding audiences' expectations.
The Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat is a semi-acoustic guitar that follows the tradition of Fender instruments, with the signature of one of the most influential musicians of the North American punk scene.
