The Yamaha FG820 AB acoustic guitar is a return to the models that marked folk music in the 60s. Model in Autumn Burst.
The year was 1966 and folk music dominated the musical landscape. Yamaha's FG series proved that great musicians could compose timeless music on an affordable instrument. This series of guitars had great build quality, an exceptional sound, and gave life to folk classics that still endure today.
50 years later, Yamaha uses the same ingredients, impeccably blended and cooked using modern manufacturing techniques, to provide guitarists with an instrument designed to take their music even further.
The Traditional Western format of the Yamaha FG820 AB allows for a larger resonance box, with greater volume and a full sound, without losing definition. The timbre is rich, where the variety of frequencies gives more consistency to its musicality.
The choice of materials also helps to increase their acoustic potential. The body is in solid spruce, the bottom and sides are in mahogany, two very resistant woods with great resonance for a louder and stronger sound.
The top has supports designed according to the latest acoustic research, with misaligned strips, creating a structure that maintains the stability of the top while helping to produce more and better sound.
The Yamaha FG820 AB follows the traditional style of folk guitars, which it helped define, standing out for its beautiful and classic Autumn Burst finish.
The neck is made of nato, a very dense, resistant and durable wood, of great aesthetic value thanks to the natural grains. The fingerboard is made of Brazilian rosewood or walnut, two very resistant woods that remain free of marks and scratches caused by intensive and prolonged use. The bridge is also made of these materials, which provide greater support for each note.
The Yamaha FG820 AB is perfect for the musician who needs to have a guitar on hand that they can trust to compose or perform their music, thanks to its rich and inspiring sound.
