Description

Give a Latin American flavor to your rhythm with the Latin Percussion LP bongos Aspire Wood LPA601-AW, made in the good Cuban style.

This set of two bongos, one with a diameter of six and three quarters of an inch and the other of eight inches, is made with Siam oak casks. The natural leather is fixed with EZ Curve rims, in a Latin Percussion design, connected by 9/32 inch tensioners for greater control and tuning safety. Hardware is coated for better appearance and protection.

The bottom is in steel, like the original instruments of Cuba, and the sound is the same as those of the bands of Havana. The bongos of the Aspire series are built in the true Cuban style by Latin Percussion, taking into account the tradition and the typical sound of the percussion instruments that it manufactures, but also the environmental sustainability.

Made from wood from trees created in environmentally sustainable plantations and dried in highly energy efficient furnaces, Latin Percussion bongos stand out for their construction quality as well as their aesthetics, thanks to the natural finish that highlights the natural texture of the wood .

The bongos are a simple percussion instrument, composed of two small drums joined together, one slightly larger than the other, open at the bottom and which are struck by hand. The most serious and largest is called female, while the other is called male, which makes sense since they are used in styles suitable for dancing together, such as salsa, cha cha cha and merengue.

They are perfect to be part of the rhythmic sections of various styles, from Cuban and Latin American music to jazz. Aspire LP Wood LPA601-AW respond well to fast rhythms, maintaining the necessary tension and definition to make themselves heard with clarity and volume.

Latin Percussion is an American brand, which emerged in the 1960s to fill the lack of Cuban percussion instruments in the United States, due to the commercial embargo imposed by Washington at the time.

Latin Percussion instruments started to set the pace in Latin Jazz bands at the time, but were quickly used by musicians in a variety of styles, today being one of the most prestigious percussion instrument brands in the industry, used by some of the most popular musicians in recent years. decades.

The Latin Percussion Aspire Wood bongos LPA601-AW are a tribute to the tradition of Cuban percussion instruments, with great construction and sound quality, at an affordable price.
