Description

The Latin Percussion Aspire LPA601-HC Havana Cafe is a set of two bongos in Siam oak wood and nickel-plated rims, like the original instruments made in Cuba. Natural rawhide skin heads are 6 inch and ¾ and 8 inch.

Made with wood from trees grown in environmentally sustainable plantations and dried in energy-efficient ovens, the Aspire LPA601-SW bongos stand out both for their build quality and for their original aesthetics.

Bongos are a simple percussion instrument, consisting of two small drums joined together, one slightly larger than the other, open at the bottom and intended to be played with the hands. The lower and larger one is called female while the other is called male, and they are used in styles such as salsa, cha cha cha and merengue.

They are perfect for being part of the rhythm sections of various styles from Cuban and Latin American influenced music to jazz. The Aspire LPA601-HC respond well to fast tempos, maintaining the tension and definition needed to make themselves heard with clarity and volume.

Latin Percussion is an American brand, which emerged in the 60s to fill the lack of Cuban percussion instruments in the United States, due to the trade embargo imposed by Washington at the time.

Latin Percussion instruments started out setting the pace in Latin Jazz bands at the time, but quickly were used by musicians in a variety of styles, and are now one of the most prestigious percussion instrument brands in the industry, respected by some of the most popular musicians in recent years. decades.

The Aspire LPA601-HC bongos preserve Cuba's tradition of percussion instruments, with a modern, reliable construction and an unbeatable price.
