Brazilian Cavaquinho Artimúsica CV50S Simple Spruce Top
This Brazilian cavaquinho CV50S is manufactured in Portugal by Artimúsica. It has a spruce top. The cavaquinho is widely used in traditional samba. The tuning is D B G D, from the highest to the lowest string.

It is constructed with selected woods, solid spruce for the top, back and sides in solid walnut. The neck is in mahogany and the fingerboard is in panga panga.
The decoration of the Artimúsica CV50S follows the characteristics of the woods, giving it a natural and organic look. The wide mouth is decorated with a discreet motif and the body has a line that accentuates the cut. The finish can be glossy or matte. The tuning machine are nickel plated.
The soundboard of the Brazilian cavaquinho is slightly larger and deeper than the Portuguese cavaquinho, and the fingerboard is not aligned with the soundboard top. Another difference is that the neck has more than 12 frets. It is very similar to a miniature classical guitar, due to its proportions.
The Brazilian cavaquinho is normally tuned in D-Si-Sol-Ré, from high to low. It is widely used in choro and traditional samba.
