Description

The Latin Percussion Stave Tumba is a cajón with the signature of Pedrito Martinez, the famous Cuban percussionist. With a very original half barrel format.

Original and with a unique and very versatile sound, the cajon Latin Percussion Stave Tumba is a collaboration between the renowned brand of percussion instruments and the talented Pedrito Martinez, one of the most important percussionists today.

The Latin Percussion Stave Tumba stands out for its original shape, in a barrel, which not only gives it a unique look but also a very wide sound potential. The materials used give it the necessary resonance and definition for a powerful rhythm with great sound quality.

The body is in mango, with an irregular, organic texture and finish in shades of coffee. The front top is in poplar, a lighter wood for a harmonious contrast with the body. Very resistant, with great acoustic capacity.

The cajón is an instrument widely used in flamenco and Latin American music. Coming from South America, its origins are African: it was created by slaves taken to Latin America, having gained roots in Peru, where it is considered Cultural Heritage of the Nation. Paco de Lucia was one of the musicians who introduced this instrument to flamenco, becoming such an integral part of his modern sound that it seems that he has always been part of this musical style.

Although the name cajon is misleading for the Latin Percussion Stave Tumba - perhaps it should be called barrilón, because of its shape - this signature model not only meets the requirements of a quality cajon, but goes beyond the expectations of percussionists who experience it.

Latin Percussion is an American brand, which emerged in the 1960s to fill the lack of Cuban percussion instruments in the United States, due to the commercial embargo imposed by Washington at the time.

Latin Percussion instruments started to set the pace in Latin Jazz bands at the time, but were quickly used by musicians in various styles, today being one of the most prestigious percussion instrument brands in the industry and the favorite of some of the most popular musicians in the world. past decades.

The Latin Percussion Stave Tumba Pedrito Martinez is a percussion instrument with its own voice, made with modern percussionists in mind, in collaboration with one of the best percussionists today. Start discovering new rhythms and sounds in the lap of a tradition that continues to reinvent itself.
