Jorge Tuna's album "Ensaios" contains recordings of the guitarist's rehearsals between 1989 and 2015, with his longtime companion, Durval Moreirinhas (died in 2017), and to which Jorge Tuna dedicates this work. Durval Moreirinhas was to Jorge Tuna as Fernando Alvim was to Carlos Paredes. Jorge Tuna is perhaps the last of the great guitarists of Coimbra.

The guitarist Jorge Tuna is an innate composer who for more than 5 decades contributed to the enrichment of the Portuguese guitar repertoire of Coimbra, with more than 60 original recordings edited - which earned him the award of the Amália Prize in 2006.
Regarding the execution of the instrument, Jorge Tuna has a particular technique sometimes making use of the ring finger in addition to the usual use of the index and thumb.
In this work we can listen to 15 original compositions that will surely inspire the generations that follow and here they will discover a repertoire that has both fascinating to listen and interesting to perform.
