APC Classical Guitar GC200OP Simples Nylon Strings
Classical guitar GC200OP model. Instrument constructed by APC with laminated oak top and laminated mahogany back and sides. This guitar has an open pore finish.
The APC GC200 classical guitar is a reliable and resistant instrument, with all the necessary characteristics for musical study, and a very present and defined sound.
The sound quality benefits from the careful choice of materials and construction techniques employed by APC's experienced craftsmen. The GC200 is constructed from sapele, a West African wood that is denser than mahogany and compensates for its small body size with a brighter sound while maintaining a consistent, balanced tonality.
The neck is in mahogany and the fretboard is in black African wood, very resistant. Simple in appearance, the APC GC200 is a great starting base for young musicians or a guitar to have around for casual playing. Or even to go on a trip, without taking up much space.
APC was founded in 1976 by António Pinto Carvalho, who descends from a centenary school of luthiers in Porto. The company has about 45 artisans who build different types of traditional Portuguese and other origins chordophones.
Nowadays, APC is the largest national company in the field, with around 50 employees, who give authenticity and a personal touch to each instrument, manufactured with the most advanced construction technology, for greater precision and rigor. Modernity and tradition are the key to this company, which proudly promotes the Portuguese cultural tradition.
