The body of APC 1S is in two woods: solid spruce for the top, which gives it a full tone of low and medium, and laminated mahogany for the bottom and sides, with a reliable structural stability.

The neck is made of mahogany and is very comfortable, ideal for those who are just starting to learn. The fingerboard is in black African wood, very resistant and prepared to give the highest definition in each note.

With a simple and classic look, the APC 1S benefits from the natural tones of the wood, with the lightness of the top contrasting with the brown tones of the bottom and the sides, in a sober and discreet set.

APC was founded in 1976 by António Pinto Carvalho, who descended from a century-old school of luthiers in Porto. The company has about 45 artisans who build different types of traditional Portuguese and other origins.
