This Artimúsica GC07C is a classic seven-string guitar, with an extra, more serious string tuned to B. To play Brazilian music and expand the musical possibilities of guitarists.

The seven-string guitar is a Brazilian variant of the classical guitar, used mainly in choro and samba. The extra low string can be tuned in B as well as in C - to be played loose in most popular themes - and allows for a greater development of the bass lines under the traditional harmonies of the guitar.

The Artimúsica GC07C is an instrument that builds on the experience of building classical guitars from one of the largest brands of construction of cordophones in Portugal. All materials were selected for a high quality final result.

The top is made of solid fir, and the bottom and sides are made of sapele, a wood originally from West Africa, more dense than mahogany, which offers a brighter sound, maintaining a consistent and balanced tone.

The natural tone of the wood on the sides is continued by the outside arm, built in mahogany and featuring a fingerboard in panga panga, a very resistant wood and increasingly used in the manufacture of musical instruments for its durability and impeccable appearance.

The tuning is ensured by a set of misaligned tuning machines, nickel plated, in an asymmetry that makes this instrument somewhat intriguing for those who are not used to seeing guitars configured in this way.

Founded in September 1992, Artimúsica is one of the benchmarks in the artisanal construction of traditional Portuguese instruments. It is a family business, which follows the construction method started by master Joaquim José Machado, more than 100 years ago. Nowadays, his descendants manufacture each instrument as if it were a true work of art, making each piece unique and of high quality.
