Description

Color up the rhythms of the samba drums with the Izzo IZ6342 8-inch drum kit. Made in Brazil.

The Izzo Z6342 is a traditional Brazilian instrument, made in its country of origin by someone who knows the original manufacturing techniques well, with quality assurance.

The cuíca is a percussion instrument, but it is not percussed: the sound is generated by rubbing a rod inside with a wet cloth. The tone varies by pressing the membrane with the finger, becoming more acute as you press closer to the center.

The cuíca is also known as roncador, tambor-onça, porca, quica, adufe, omelê or pwitta, in Angola. The snoring sound of the cuíca is typical of Brazilian samba drums and other musical styles with a traditional African influence.

The Izzo Z6342 cuica is a cuica with an 8-inch natural leather membrane. held by eight tensioners. The rod is in bamboo and the hull, 30 cm high in stainless steel. It is manufactured in Brazil by one of the most renowned brands of traditional Brazilian instruments, Izzo.

Izzo started almost 100 years ago as a small business founded by European emigrants in São Paulo, and has grown over the generations of the Storino family to become the modern company it is today. It is used by many samba schools and artists such as Jeito Moleque, Família Lima and Attitude 67.

The cuíca is one of those instruments that everyone has heard but only a few know. Discover its magic with the Izzo Z6342 and make your samba drums shine.

To have the original sound of Brazil, just buy the Izzo cuica in Portugal.
