The Ibanez AEWC 11 DVS is an electro-acoustic guitar for electric guitarists who enjoy fast licks and sweeps without brakes.
The Ibanez AEWC series was inspired by the brand's electric models to bring their supersonic characteristics to acoustic models. Built for speed and with an equally aerodynamic style, the Ibanez AEWC guitars are easy to adapt for guitarists who want to use all the techniques of electric guitar in a semi acoustic.
The Ibanez AEWC 11 has a dreadnought shape, with a cutaway for easy access to the higher notes of the fingerboard. The top is in solid spruce and the bottom and sides are in sapele. It has a high gloss finish over a gradient tone, mimicking that of violins, called Dark Violin Sunburst (DVS), and a simple acrylic rosette.
The neck is in nato, a dense, resistant and durable wood. The walnut fretboard features 20 inlaid white frets and position markers. The bridge is also in walnut, with the ease of being a top loading bridge, that is, it has no pins, which allows the strings to be changed more quickly.
The sound of the Ibanez AEWC 11 is of great quality and definition, both in acoustic and amplified mode. The pickup system is based on a Fishman® S-Core pickup, connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP1 pre-amplifier, which gives it another dimension and fidelity so that each note is heard perfectly.
The AEQ-SP1 includes bass, mid and high EQ controls, phase control, volume, and even a very precise tuner.
