Electroacoustic Guitar Fender Paramount PD-220E Dreadnought Natural with case
The PD-220E is a dreadnought guitar made with solid woods. Its full and balanced acoustic sound can also be amplified thanks to Fender and Fishman's new Presys VT Plus pickup. Perfect for both the stage and the studio, the PD-220E offers a vintage, sophisticated look. Includes a hard case.
The Fender PD-220E is an electro-acoustic folk guitar that brings the spirit of 1960s folk guitars into modern times.
Guitarists looking for vintage-style guitars with high sound quality and superior performance will find the PD-220E an instrument capable of perfectly invoking the spirit of one of music's most golden eras.
Fender's Paramount Series models are handcrafted, taking direct inspiration from the 1960s American folk instruments whose sound they helped shape.
The Fender Paramount PD 220E is a dreadnought model. The top is in Sitka spruce supported by X-shaped beams, also in spruce, cut to the shape of the body for greater definition and a harmonious reverberation with the top, giving it support and presence.
For the back and sides, Fender used solid mahogany, for greater tone richness and structural solidity. The neck is also made of mahogany and is very easy to play thanks to its C-shaped cutout and features a 20-fret ovangkol fretboard.
The bone nut and ovangkol bridge provide quality sound support and tuning stability, secured by the open, vintage-style nickel-plated chimes.
With a shiny polyester finish, the PD-220E Paramount also shines in an aesthetic sense. The decoration is made with pearlescent snowflake inlays, feather pattern valances, rosette and backstrip, and a Tiger Stripe nail guard.
To be heard through an amplification system, the Fender Paramount PD 220E has a Presys VT Plus pickup designed by Fender in conjunction with Fishman. Under the top, a pickup captures vibrations that can be combined with the S-Core pickup on the bottom. The controls are hidden in the soundhole of the guitar, preserving the guitar's vintage aesthetic.
Under the top, a body-sensitive pickup improves soundboard vibrations, which can be combined with the Sonicore pickup under the comb.
The Fender PD-220E is an electro-acoustic guitar perfect for the stage and studio. All musicians who want the vintage sound with the reliability of Fender's latest generation instruments will find the PD-220E an excellent option.
