Electroacoustic Guitar Gretsch Jim Dandy Deltoluxe Parlor Black Top with Pickup
The Gretsch Jim Dandy Deltoluxe Parlor is a small and portable electroacoustic guitar with an onboard Gretsch Deltoluxe magnetic soundhole pickup, perfect for live performances and studio recordings. Inspired by Gretsch 1930's, 40s and 50s guitars, this Jim Dandy Deltoluxe Parlor offers a clear, vintage sound.
The Gretsch Jim Dandy Deltoluxe Electro-Acoustic Guitar is an instrument that feels like it was custom-made for lovers of the classic eras of 20th century music.
Jim Dandy guitars are some of Gretsch's most popular models. Inspired by the “Rex” line of mail order instruments in the 1930s, 40s and 50s, Jim Dandy guitars have the charm and spirit of early Gretsch flat-top guitars.
The Jim Dandy Deltoluxe is a parlor guitar, that is, it has smaller dimensions than the size of a standard acoustic guitar. The top is in sapele, as are the bottom and sides. The body, all in black and with a glossy finish, is outlined by a tortoiseshell pelmet, as is the nail guard. The rosette is discreet, but full of style in gold/white rings.
The neck is in natural and the fingerboard in walnut. The Gretsch Jim Dandy Deltoluxe has 20 vintage-sized frets, synthetic bone nut and pearlescent position markers, which contrast perfectly with the dark tone of the fingerboard wood.
The Gretsch Jim Dandy Deltoluxe is perfectly heard in acoustic mode, but the pickup
Gretsch® Deltoluxe Soundhole Pickup, placed in the middle of the soundhole, captures the essence of vintage tone with fidelity. This pickup produces a versatile sound, making it a valuable extra for using the Jim Dandy Deltoluxe live or in the recording studio, with or without effects pedals.
The Gretsch Jim Dandy Deltoluxe Dread Black Top electroacoustic guitar is a quality instrument with advanced features, perfect for exploring different musical styles with the guarantee of a rich and versatile timbre, from blues to swing, to lounge rockabilly, or for singer-songwriters looking for another sound for your compositions.
With more than 135 years of tradition, Gretsch has always been committed to quality. Throughout its history, Gretsch has pioneered numerous designs and manufacturing techniques, such as the use of resonance chambers for a rich, vibrant tone.
Some of the guitar greats who used Gretsch guitars were Chet Atkins, Eddie Cochran, Billy Duffy, Bono, Duane Eddy, George Harrison, Brian Setzer, Stephen Stills, Neil Young and Malcolm Young.
