Jazz Manouche Guitar APC JMD100 D shaped soundhole Spruce Sapeli
This D-shaped soundhole guitar model is mainly used by manouche jazz rhythm guitarists. The style has no drums, so the rhythm is guaranteed by one or more rhythm guitarists. This JMD100 is built in Portugal by APC.
With the manouche APC JMD100 jazz guitar you will master the rhythm of gypsy jazz.
Fans of gypsy jazz (or jazz manouche) will love this guitar, made for playing high-speed chord progressions with great sound definition full of swing. Made in Portugal by APC, this acoustic guitar follows the design and specifications of the original models manufactured in the 30s, 40s and 50s of the last century, to play manouche jazz.
The choice of woods took into account the specific sound of this musical style, respecting the type of materials chosen for the original models. The top is in solid spruce with a sapele back and sides.
The strings are attached to a nickel-plated tailpiece that is characteristic of these guitars, fixed to the back of the body, and rest on a traditional long mustache-shaped bridge, which spreads the vibrations across the top, giving it its characteristic sound.
The APC JMD100 guitar follows the traditional shape of these instruments, presenting the typical curves of this type of guitars and the D-shaped mouth, which distinguishes rhythm guitars from guitars for soloists.
APC was founded in 1976 by António Pinto Carvalho, who descended from a century-old school of luthiers in Porto. The company has around 45 artisans who build different types of traditional Portuguese and other chords. APC is the largest national company in this field, producing and selling instruments to more than twenty countries.
The APC model JMD100 guitar is for lovers of manouche jazz rhythms, faithful to the spirit and sound of the original instruments, with the guarantee of a product made in Portugal.
