In 1679, the Schwarz family in Molln started producing berimbaus and has continued for 13 generations, during which the company has been family-owned on an ongoing basis.
Currently, the Schwarz family produces berimbaus of excellent quality, in addition to tuned bells, ocarinas, flexatones and pan flutes, and exports to more than 40 different countries around the world.
The berimbau is used in folk and house music, as well as jazz and modern music. That's why Schwarz specializes in hand instruments.
