Your rhythms will never be boring again with this inspiring tool. The BOSS SL-2 is a Slicer pedal, which creates percussive movements and sonic rhythms. Basically, it cuts, pastes and repeats your sign, in highly configurable patterns, to give a modern aesthetic and greater complexity and interest to any composition.

This compact version of the SL-20 fits on any pedalboard, and has the same configuration potential as the original (now discontinued) pedal, with the possibility of being even more configurable with the help of the BOSS Tone Studio application.

The BOSS SL-2 has eight types of rhythm patterns, divided into Single, Dual, Tremolo, Harmonic and SFX, with 11 variations each. Controls are simple. The dual Attack/Duty knob controls the shape and wavelength of the clipped audio, and Tempo/Balance affects duration and balance. The pedal switch, in addition to activating or deactivating the effect, allows you to set the tempo (tap tempo).

So you can get the most sonic out of effects, the BOSS SL-2 has a mono/stereo output. In stereo output, seven modes are available: Fixed, EFX/Direct, Random, Ping-Pong, Auto, 3D Cross and 3D Rotation, perfect for use as a mixing effect or with two amplifiers. It even has a TRS MIDI input for clock synchronization and DC control.

The BOSS SL-2 also allows for real-time parameter control with the help of up to two footswitches or an expression pedal.

It can be used to slice the electric guitar signal, but also the bass signal, analog keyboards and even samples, which makes it perfect for various musical styles, from modern heavy rock to electronic music, or background music.

The BOSS Tone Studio app is available for macOS/Windows, and by connecting the SL-2 to a PC via USB, they can explore and load alternative patterns to the ones that come standard.
