Description

Lisbon fado sounds perfectly with the Portuguese guitar Artimúsica GP72L. Luxury model with high quality finishes.

The richness of fado needs a guitar to match. The Artimúsica GP72L is a Portuguese guitar, model from Lisbon, with refined details in construction and decoration, a deep and involving sound, of superior quality.

This model of Portuguese guitar is built in Portugal by one of the most representative brands in the manufacture of high quality traditional chord phones. Artimúsica is recognized for the expertise and knowledge of its artisans, the choice of selected materials and the dedication it applies to all the instruments, each of them a unique piece of art.

The Artimúsica GP72L is no exception. The top is in solid spruce, which gives it a distinct tone and aesthetic, with a bright and well-defined timbre. The bottom and sides are in solid rosewood, a luxury wood found in high-quality instruments.

The neck is in mahogany, with an ebony fingerboard, a wood renowned for its distinctive appearance and high strength, another material increasingly used only in higher-end instruments.

The decoration of Artimúsica GP72L makes it an object of art, in addition to a musical instrument. The mouth is decorated with great taste, and the double-beaded binding highlights its pear-shaped body. At the top, the spiral scroll, which identifies the Lisbon fado guitar, has a fan on the front, and on the back, a decorative carving, with a beautiful effect.

The Portuguese guitar from Lisbon is the smallest of the three traditional fado guitars (there is also the Portuguese guitar from Porto and the Portuguese guitar from Coimbra). It is, of the three, the one with the brightest sound, reinforced by the traditional tuning of Lisbon Fado in Si Lá Mi Si Lá Ré, starting from the highest pitches.

Founded in September 1992, Artimúsica is one of the leading brands in the handcrafted construction of traditional Portuguese instruments. It is a family business, which follows the construction method started by master Joaquim José Machado, over 100 years ago. His grandchildren, the masters Manuel Carvalho and José Carvalho, manufacture each instrument as if it were a real work of art, making each piece unique, of high quality, and full of tradition.

The Portuguese guitar Artimúsica GP72L is a luxurious model, with elegant details and refined finishes, and a unique sound, a point to be extracted by guitarists who have fado running through their veins and emotion welling up from their fingers.
