Description

The Moeck 3110 Rondo is a sopranino recorder for more advanced students in developing their technique.

Made from maple, the Moeck 3110 Rondo has A 3 tuning (=442hz) and baroque fingering. It is a sopranino recorder, which means it is smaller than soprano models, measuring around 18cm in length.

It adapts very well to the hand and the sound is full, even if the musician doesn't yet have a perfect breathing technique. It is therefore ideal for musicians committed to moving to the next levels in learning this instrument.

The recorder is a wind instrument, widely used as a solo instrument, which gained popularity in the Middle Ages, particularly in Central Europe. The name “recorder” comes from the cut of its fixed reed, but it is also known as a recorder, thanks to its characteristic timbre.

It is a simple melodic instrument, very popular for musical initiation for school-age children and in music therapy. It is also a challenge for more advanced musicians who want to use this simple instrument to create melodies in its sweet and very recognizable timbre solo or accompanying other instruments. The composer who dedicated the most pieces to him was Vivaldi, who composed many concertos for recorder, both in alto and soprano versions.

Moeck is the German brand that specializes in manufacturing this type of instruments. Since 1930 they have been selling recorders, initially made by small artisans but personally tuned and tuned by the brand's founder, Hermann Voegt.

In the search for faithful reproductions of historical instruments, Moeck created a special department dedicated to the reconstruction and reproduction of Baroque and Renaissance instruments. In the 1960s, the brand's support for learning courses on historical instruments increased interest in its products, starting to produce high-quality replicas of museum instruments, but without forgetting the manufacture of recorders.

Nowadays Moeck recorders are made using high precision machines, but always with intervention by artisans in the manufacturing process, who maintain the quality standards and reliability of each instrument.

The Moeck 3110 Rondo also includes as accessories a bag, cleaning brush, cloth and cork lubricant, a certificate with maintenance manual and fingering chart.
