The Savaresse family moved from Italy to Paris in 1770. Here, they began to manufacture manually rectified gut ropes and began the production of wound ropes.
Between 1880 and 1930, based on the success of the business, it began to develop new materials, such as new ranges of silk, steel, bronze and brass. But the biggest development takes place after 1930, with the introduction of new technologies. Of note are Argentine strings for acoustic jazz, which become the strings used by Django Rienhardt.
It was in 1980 that the Savarez company started to use the name it has today.
