Discover the sounds of the Udu LP Claytone LP1400-C1, one of the most multifaceted and fascinating percussion instruments you will ever meet.

Expand your collection of percussion sounds with the udu, an instrument of African origins capable of producing a huge variety of sounds. This udu is a teardrop-shaped clay instrument with two openings and a textured exterior, which is played with the hands.

The side opening serves to produce a deep and dynamic sound and its shape allows for different timbres and tones throughout the body. The texture of the outer surface offers the possibility of producing sounds through friction.

Latin Percussion gave the design of the Claytone LP1400-C1 LP to Frank Giorgini, a renowned master ceramist, who created a modern instrument with great build quality, maintaining the characteristics of traditional models.

Measuring 12 inches tall by 8 inches wide (30.5 cm x 20.3 cm), the LP1400-C1's body also has a straw base. It's easy to carry and play in style.

The C-1 model is one of four models available in Latin Percussion's Claytone LP1400 series, which brings modern percussionists the unique sound of this instrument, lending new elements and sounds to the most creative musicians.

Latin Percussion was created in the 60s in the United States by the hand of Martin Cohen to make up for the lack of Cuban percussion instruments caused by the trade embargo imposed by Washington at the time.
