Description

The Artimúsica VF50S is a perfect fado viola to give harmony to the flourishes of Lisbon's fado.

Playing the fado guitar is an art. It is a fundamental instrument in Lisbon's fado, giving the accompaniment and the harmonic support so that the voice and guitar can be released in melodic and flowery lines full of emotion.

The Artimúsica VF50S is a fado viola of great quality, with a very present and well-defined sound. In the same format as a classical guitar, the viola de fado differs in that it uses steel strings. This implies that its structure is solid and robust, and that it is made of quality materials.

Artimúsica used all its experience in the construction of traditional Portuguese cordophones to create a very reliable and musical viola, with selected raw materials. For the top, he chose solid spruce wood. The bottom and sides are made of walnut, also solid, and the neck is made of mahogany. The fingerboard is made of panga panga, a wood increasingly used for its quality and low environmental impact.

This combination of materials makes it have a warm tone and complement the tone of the Portuguese guitar in Lisbon, with steel strings giving it extra shine and definition. The natural shades of the chosen woods make it have an excellent aesthetic value, highlighted by the shiny finish, which make this simple decoration model quite showy.

The tuning is kept safe thanks to the nickel-plated chimes, which allow you to play intensely and for a long time without leaving the right frequency, and remain as the ideal and reliable support for the musicians you accompany.

Founded in September 1992, Artimúsica is one of the benchmarks in the artisanal construction of traditional Portuguese instruments. It is a family business, which follows the construction method started by master Joaquim José Machado, more than 100 years ago. Nowadays, his descendants manufacture each instrument as if it were a true work of art, making each piece unique, of high quality and with enormous musicality.

The Artimúsica VF50S fado viola is a quality option for those who like to have fado in their hands, and keep the spirit of the national song alive, loud and clear. They preserve the art of Portuguese cordophones and national music with an instrument made in Portugal with the Artimúsica VF50S.
